I first trained as a Chiropodist in 1984 with the College of Surgical Chiropody in Cork and have been in continuous practice since that time.I can honestly say that my work in this area has brought me nothing but joy and great friends.
In 1996 I graduated from the Acupuncture Foundation of Ireland and later studied and worked
in Nanjing China where I received a wealth of experience in all the different aspects of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Since then I have studied, and continue to study, Chinese Herbal Patent Remedies and raw Chinese Herbs with the renowned Professor Shulan Tang.
I have completed seminars on Infertility with Shulan Tang, Professor of Gynaecology and I have also studied with Giovanni Macciocia, a world renowned teacher and practitioner of TCM. I have also studied Cosmetic and Facial Acupuncture in Dublin with Deirdre Courtney.
In the early 2000’s I studied with National School of Sports Massage in Dublin and gained wonderful experience working with national and International golfers in Ballybunion, Co.Kerry
At this time too, I became interested in Reiki and studied with Regina O’ Mahoney and became a Reiki practitioner.
2004 and 2010 were wonderful years in that I finally became both a Teacher and Life Coach of the Louise Hay philosophy and began my Workshops,which have been a delight.
Reflexology remains an abiding interest and I continue to read, practise and learn at every opportunity.
Both the Bach Flower Remedies and Australian Bush Flower Remedies also regularly find their wonderful way into my practise of holism.
Valerie and Paul Lynch’s writing and study of Emotional Healing is a staple in my own welfare and that of my patients.
Courses planned for the future are Body Talk – June 2012 and also a Teachers’ course in Medical Qi Gong planned for 2013/2014.
I remain fascinated by the power of our thoughts to influence and steer our lives and this is an ongoing field of study and growth. I find the regular practise of Meditation,and the support of my peers, is invaluable in helping me to live in kindness and love.
